Tunnels A-Frame, Jumps and Pause Table, targeting and basic agility course moves for trust-building and teamwork in a safe, fun environment. Exceptionally good for canine “worry worts”. NEW !! RALLY-GILITY - 6 week course $150 The fun of agility, the control of obedience and the excitement of a rally course! Indoors for Winter!
CLASS BEGINS: Tues.1/5/2010 - 6:00 pm I'm interested! This only-at-Dairydell class combines the fun of agility, the control of obedience and the excitement of a rally course. If you have a new agility dog, this class will help improve your control and ability to direct him through a course. If you have a dog already trained in basic obedience, Rally-gility will make obedience FUN, as we add skill through the weave poles, tunnels and more to his otherwise dry reperatoire (sp?). The "rally" element of Rally-gility means that each week a "rally course" is set for the dogs, with numbered cones that call for a certain obedience or agility activity at each one (I.E. "Sit" at cone #1, "Heel Right" at cone #2, "Weave Poles" at cone #3, etc.) VERY fun, and a great way to keep your dog's obedience or agility skills sharp over the winter! Course is held indoors, so weather is not a concern. Try it - you'll be hooked!
TIME ON SHEEP (recreational) - $50/session M-F (Typical sessions are 30-45 minutes in length, with rest breaks included).

Your dog will have a blast at Dairydell – meeting new friends, experiencing new things, and learning all kinds of new stuff if he’s in training. All that fun and excitement, however, can come with a few downsides, including the chance your dog may experience one or more of the following:
Tiredness: With everything so new and exciting, your dog won’t sleep as much as he does at home – especially during the day. By the time he comes home, your pooch might be pooped – sleepy and lazy for several days while he catches up on his zzzz’s. Do not be alarmed. He is not sick, he’s just tired! Bumps, Bruises and Boo Boo’s: It’s a play yard out there, and dog play is a contact sport! Most dogs spend their days at Dairydell running, jumping and wrestling and – like on a school play yard – stuff can happen. Even under supervision and the best of circumstances, injuries can occur. Most will be minor, but occasionally some will be more significant – even requiring veterinary attention. Running in our huge, sand arenas can also dry and crack pads. In other words, bumps, nicks and boo-boos are not uncommon in an active boarding environment, but most are proof that your dog had a really great time! Eye Irritation: When city dogs come to stay with us, sometimes our farm air makes their eyes water! Our grasses, cows, horses, sheep and dust from dog-play on the sand – all contribute to occasional eye allergies. If you notice white-ish discharge in your dog’s eyes after coming home, just give us a call. We’ll tell you how to clear your pup up pronto!
Weight Loss: Even if your dog is a chow-hound and never misses a regular meal, running, playing and being active burns a lot of calories. Because of this, your dog may drop a few pounds during his stay. Not to worry – so do kids at summer camp! Colds & Viruses: Like kids at a preschool, dogs share everything while boarding – including colds and assorted viruses. Luckily, there are vaccinations to help protect against the worst kinds of doggie colds: Bordetella and Parainfluenza. At Dairydell, we require that ALL dogs staying with us be current in both bordetella and parainfluenza vaccinations, so that we can maintain the highest protection level and the lowest possible odds of a bordetella or parainfluenza incident. Most other dog colds and even some skin conditions, however, are caused by viruses with no known vaccines to prevent them. Our best preventive at Dairydell is keeping dogs clean, warm, rested and well-fed. If your dog does come down with a cold or skin condition, either while here or after coming home, odds are it’s minor and will quickly pass.
