DEPOSITS

Boarding

All non-holiday boarding reservations are secured with a non-refundable 20% or $20 deposit (to cover our administrative costs), with a 48 hour cancellation required.

Holiday boarding periods require a 50% deposit and a 2-week cancellation is required. (See Cancellations and Refunds).

Board and Train

Board and Train reservations are secured with a 50% deposit training fee.  $100/week is non-refundable (to cover administrative costs and our rebooking efforts).

Classes

All class reservations are prepaid, and a 2-week cancellation is required.  $20 is non-refundable (to cover administrative costs).

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Boarding

Cancellation of non-holiday reservation made less than 2 days (48 hours) before arrival forfeits the 20% or $20 deposit.  Cancellations more than 2 days prior are refunded the deposit LESS the non-refundable $20.

Cancellation of holiday reservations made less than 2 weeks before arrival forfeits the entire 50% deposit. Cancellations more than 2 weeks prior are refunded the deposit LESS the non-refundable $20.

Board and Train

Training cancellation LESS than 2 weeks prior to start of scheduled training, forfeits entire 50% deposit UNLESS Dairydell is able to refill that training spot, LESS the $100 per week rebooking fees. Training fees do not include cost of collars, leads, whistles, etc. Those items will be billed separately.  Cancellations made more than 2 weeks prior are refunded the deposit LESS the non-refundable $100/week.

Classes

Cancellation less than 2 weeks prior to start date forfeits the entire deposit. There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to class beginning, and NO CREDITS for missed classes, once the class has started.  Cancellations made more than 2 weeks prior are refunded the deposit LESS the non-refundable $20.

"Before or After Hours" Arrivals and Departures

We have a strict "Before or After Hours" Arrival/Departure Policy.  PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:   Our regular office hours are 9-Noon and 3-6 on Weekdays, 9-3 on Saturdays, and by appointment only on Sundays between 10 and Noon.  ONLY if client requests and Dairydell agrees, will office open early or stay late to accommodate.   While we are happy to do this, we charge $3 per minute for any related waiting and/or processing time which falls outside of our normal business hours.  (Sorry, we cannot wait longer than 30 minutes, however).  Note that after 15 minutes - it's actually cheaper for your dog to stay another night, if we have the room.

I have read and understand the Deposit, Cancellation and "Before and After Hours" policies stated above.  I also have read and understand the various RISKS of boarding.

I authorize Dairydell to treat minor conditions such as eye irritations, dirty ears, cuts, bumps and bruises.  I further authorize Dairydell to obtain veterinary treatment for my dog in the event of more serious issues, or in the event of a medical emergency.

If I cannot be reached, either directly or through my emergency contact, I authorize medical expenses:

1. Not to exceed $   or  

2. to whatever amount necessary.

We know that barking is a normal part of dog behavior. Occassionally, however, barking becomes obscessive - even potentially unhealthy for a dog or others around him.  In these instances, we try to restore a more peaceful environment by discouraging barking with gentle yet effective means, including botanical calming mists or natural citronella spray collars. Ifwe are unable to calm an anxious barker by standard means, and feel it is still in his best interest to do so, we will contact the owner to discuss other options.

I authorize Dairydell to photograph and/or video my dog or me and to use these images in future books, videos, promotional or educational materials, and hereby waive my claim to compensation for such use.

I, the legal owner of this (these) dog(s), understand that in consideration for participating in the boarding or doggie daycare authorized by this contract, I am releasing, waiving, discharging and covenanting not to sue Dairydell, Inc., its officers, owners, promoters, trainers, employees, sponsors, clients and each of them, for losses or damages and any claim of damage of any kind on account of sickness, death, loss of and/or injury to my dog or any other dog or person, as a result of negligence or otherwise, while the dog is in the possession of Dairydell, Inc., or after it leaves its facility. Dairydell does not accept any dogs into boarding that have shown aggression toward humans - even the vet.  I attest that my dog has never shown aggression toward humans.  If I have withheld information from Dairydell, Inc. regarding any aggressive behavior or tendencies in my dog, and my dog causes injury or loss to any other dog or person, I will defend and indemnify Dairydell, Inc. from any resulting claims, demands, lawsuits, losses, costs or expenses, including attorney’s fees. I understand and expressly agree that this release, waiver and agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of California and that I have carefully read this release and know the content of the release, and sign this release as an act of my own free will, and that the terms of this lease are contractual in nature and are not just a recital. 

If I am the handler of the dog in classes, I also acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in dog training activities with Dairydell, Inc. I am aware that there are inherent risks and hazards involved in activities with and around dogs, and I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of these potential dangers. I am not relying on Dairydell or its staff, volunteers, management or owners, to prevent such occurrences. In order to participate in Dairydell classes, demonstrations or other activities, I am fully informed of such risks and hazards, and agree to assume all risks of such occurrences. I hereby waive any and all claims or action that I, or my guardians, representatives, or assigns may have against Dairydell, and agree to release Dairydell from any and all liability for personal injury to myself, my dog, children in my charge, or harm to property caused directly or indirectly by acts that might occur while at Dairydell classes, events, and activities. I further agree to indemnify, defend and hold Dairydell harmless for damage, loss liability or expenses, including legal costs and attorney's fees which result from any damage caused by myself, children in my charge, or dog(s) that I own or handle.

All boarding reservations are secured with a 20% credit card deposit and training reservations with a 50% deposit of the training fee. Please see our deposit and cancellation policy. Daycare is charged to your credit card on the days your dog attends.
